Optical Time Domain Reflectometry – A Review

Akshay Chopra, Akanksha Chopra

Abstract

An Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) consolidates a laser source and a locator to give an inside perspective of the fiber connect. The laser source sends a signal into the fiber where the identifier gets the light reflected from the distinctive components of the connection. This creates a follow on a chart made as per the flag got. The flag sent is a short heartbeat that conveys a specific measure of vitality. A clock then exactly ascertains the season of the beat, and time is changed over into separation knowing the properties of this fiber.
