The use of optical properties of liquid crystals (LC) of liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for reproduction of a color video image of received by a receiver of an optical signal

Michael Shoikhedbrod

Abstract

The existing optical communication system uses a transmitter that converts an electromagnetic video image signal into an optical signal, a channel that delivers the signal to its destination, i.e. receiver, which, in turn, transforms the received optical signal back into an electromagnetic signal, followed by playback of a color video image.
The article presents a mechanism for reproduction of a color video image of an optical signal, received by a receiver, in the form of an intermittent optical signal on a liquid crystal display (LCD) by using the optical properties of liquid crystals.
