Abstract

The Second and third order elastic constants of some halides viz LiCl, LiI, NaCl, KCl, RbCl, CsCl, and CsBr have been studied [1]. The isothermal bulk modulus KT, the volume thermal expansion coefficient β and short range force parameter required for this computation are calculated and presented in Tables 1 & 2. Also the pressure derivatives of SOEC are obtained using the three body force model [2-5]. The result shows that all the constants decrease with increase in molecular weight and lattice constants with a particular group. It can be seen from results the calculated values of TOEC shows good accord with the experimental values of these type solids.
