The main purpose of the paper is to review some important properties of rare earth elements, material and some added materials that come out while extracting them mainly from on and off shore sea sands as by-product. Some basic tools which are useful in analysing their extra-ordinary physical and chemical properties have been highlighted. Visual photographic analysis of the sample of pure rare earths and added materials, and found mixed with the sea shore’s sands in original at the area of high concentration on the sea beach have also been made.
