Kinetic Analysis on the Thermal Decomposition of Tinidazole Crystals

Abstract


Single crystals of tinidazole were crystallized by gel growth method for the first time. The grown crystals were confirmed using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Thermal behavior of tinidazole was analyzed using Thermogravimetry / Differential thermal analysis (TGA/DTA). Kinetic analysis of the thermogravimetric data was carried out by using Coats-Redfern relation. Activation energy, frequency factor and order of reaction were also calculated.
